| Hi pups, I am Katie here to talk about Open Boarding and the Dog Friendly Dog (DFD) interview |
| Open boarding means you are not kenneled or caged while Bob is here at the house which is at least 16 hours a day.
You get to mix with me and all his other dog helpers, rescues and boarders. When Bob is not home (never more than 4 to 5 hours at any one time)
and at meal time, we put you in a private pen for your safety.
Because of this we do not just take any old dog off the streets, we only take DFD's.
To make sure you are certifiable (not crazy, but a real DFD) I require an initial interview before I allow Bob to make a reservation.
|
- The interview takes about 30 to 60 minutes because one by one or in limited numbers, Bob brings out all the other dogs staying here that day
- Bob's other 6 1/4 dogs have different personalities so we feel this is a good test
- You pass if you get along with all of us and Bob can get you in the house so he can ensure your safety when he leaves the house
- A little bit of growling and teeth showing is OK as long as you don't get aggressive. We understand the stress of meeeting so many dogs all at once
- Please don't bring food or wear good clothes because one of us is bound to jump up to greet you with our dirty paws...oops and sorry...lol
- Some days dogs just have a bad fur day so liability waivers must be signed by Mom and/or Dad because nobody or no dog or system is perfect
- I have Bob charge $25.00 for the interview. If you pass and stay, the fee is deducted from your first day's boarding.
